So...I know that its been a really long time since I last posted, but I have been very busy with a lot of things going on at the moment. It is starting to slow down a tiny bit, so I figure I will give a quick update. First off, my new semester has taken off at a run with 14 credits and 4 classes. I am taking English 101, Chemistry 101, Anatomy and Physiology (for animals), and Math 110 (Algebra). The math class is kicking my butt to the max, and the english class is a lot of writing, but that's to be expected. Chemistry has gone pretty good so far, most of it has been review and no homework....major plus! The Anat and Phys class is so awesome, and by far my favorite class. The labs we do every week have been very hands on and educational...I'll spare you the details :) I am taking a horseback riding class twice a week for two hours each. It is not for any credits, merely for my indulgence. I went back and forth between whether or not I should take it, but opted to take it because I am not dancing this semester, so this is my one fun thing.
Since about halfway through last semester, I have been planning on transferring to CSI (College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls) to get my Veterinary Technician license. Things are finally starting to come around with that. On Friday I got my acceptance letter into CSI. I wish that was it, but it's only the first small step. There is a second application process required for the Vet Tech program including an application, three letters of recommendation, an interview, and at least 16 hours of volunteer work at a vet clinic. These preparations are well under way, but the time is closing quickly.
Work is going well at Little Caesars, and I'm still working nights. This can get a little stressful because if I have to work on certain days, I am gone from 7:30 in the morning until whenever I get off work...which sometimes isn't until 10:45 or 11:00. But oh well, what can you do.
Church is getting exciting as I now have three callings. The first call I received this semester was to be the pianist in Relief Society. A little scary for me but definitely do-able and low stress. The second I received today as the ward Family History Consultant. This will entail teaching two 4-week classes over the semester on the basics of starting family history. Also any other activities to promote family history, or answer any questions people have. I am excited for this calling because as you all know...I love family history. As my bishop put it, once you are caught by the Spirit of Elijah, it carries you away. The third calling is one that will be carried over from last semester as an Extractor. This goes right along with my other calling. It's not terribly time consuming and something I'm familiar with.
I don't have a lot of time to spare, but I try to get over to Mandi's when I can. I have enjoyed helping them get moved in, and just spending time with them in general. Maddi is as cute as ever, and we have some good times. All in all I am enjoying this semester. It's busy, but all I have to say is bring it on!

hey glad you finally posted. i sort of feel like i know what's going on in your life now. good luck with school!!
Sounds like you are definately busy! And as much as you may hate it some days, I promise you there will come a day when by some insanity you will actually wish you could do it all over again! (Good news is that insanity usually never lasts long enough to actually act upon that desire!) Getting excited to come up and see you. Good luck!
